Principal Engineer, PlatformOS

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company seeking a Principal Engineer for the PlatformOS team. The successful candidate will help elevate PlatformOS from a strong engineering org to a truly enabling, scalable, platform-led capability.

Requirements

• 12+ years of software engineering experience in a fast-paced environment
• Hands-on experience building production systems
• Strong experience building platforms, infrastructure tooling or distributed services
• Deep architectural knowledge: distributed systems, service architecture, APIs, deployment pipelines, observability, reliability
• Proven experience in data modeling and API design across domains
• Familiarity building or integrating AI/agent systems
