Job Description
Astera Labs is seeking a Principal Field Applications Engineer to establish technical expertise with leading cloud service providers and server OEM clients. The role involves designing solutions using Astera Labs' connectivity products, identifying customer needs, and driving innovation through collaborative design and problem-solving. The ideal candidate will be a technical advisor with a strong engineering background.
Requirements
- BS in electrical engineering (Master’s degree preferred)
- 8+ years’ experience working with Cloud service providers and server OEM customers
- Fluent in Mandarin and English
- Hands-on knowledge of high-speed protocols (PCIe, Ethernet, Infiniband, DDR, NVMe, USB, etc.)
- Silicon/System bring-up and debug experience
- Experience with protocol analyzers and oscilloscopes
- Strong background in high-speed board design and Data Center systems (Servers, JBOGs/JBODs, Networking switches/routers)
- Intermediate proficiency in Python
