Betterment is seeking a Business Development Representative to join its team focused on financial advisors working with retirement plans. The role involves outbound prospecting to assist the sales process at the top of the funnel in an activity-heavy role. The candidate should be a tech-savvy seller who is passionate about working with decision-makers to add a retirement offering to their employee benefits or transition plans from their existing provider.
Requirements
- Generating new opportunities with financial advisors using outbound tactics (email sequences, cold calling, LinkedIn, etc) to assist the sales process at the top of the funnel
- Identifying, targeting and nurturing potential outbound opportunities by creating new target lists and always being one step ahead of trends
- Understanding the need of prospects and communicating them clearly to Account Executives
- Clearly articulating Betterment’s Advised value proposition and products to prospects in specific verticals
- Meet and exceed meeting set and pipeline goals
- Ensure effective and consistent use of Salesforce & other prospecting tools
- Provide “voice of the prospect and industry” to marketing and product management to drive roadmaps
