Job Description
The BLET Cadet Program for Deputy is a training program for individuals interested in working for the Buncombe County Sheriff's Office as a law enforcement officer. The program includes 18-20 weeks of basic law enforcement training at the Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College (A-B Tech) BLET academy. Candidates must complete the training to be certified as a law enforcement officer and will be paid employees of the sheriff's office while attending the academy.

- Completion of NC BLET Course
- 21 years of age
