Senior Staff Engineer, Electrical Design

The Senior Staff Engineer, Electrical Design develops new electrical systems/circuits for various products. Researches system ideas and draw up plans for these systems, capturing them in specifications and detailed designs. Plan, simulate, test, validate and qualify their designs and make adjustments as needed.

• Captures designs in specifications and detailed designs
• Plans, simulates, tests, validates, and qualifies designs
• Provides support throughout the manufacturing of the electrical products
• Works in global cross-functional teams with customers, other designers, manufacturing engineering, and project leadership
• Leads the design, development, and implementation of technical solutions in multiple domains
• Provides technical leadership and direction to a team of engineers
• Reviews, interprets, and negotiates customer requirements/specifications
• Leads the deployment of strategic programs and coordinates site-wide deployment efforts
• Promotes industry best practices
• Manages relationships with key vendors/partners
• Designs, modifies, and implements systems that meet customer and Celestica needs
• Tests, simulates, and measures the performance of systems
• Keeps up to date with relevant industry knowledge and regulations
• Analyzes and interprets data and information
• Recommends modifications for systems
• Creates reports and documentation
