Job Description
Take 911 calls, emergency and non-emergency calls to provide help to the public, dispatch ambulances/Fire Departments, and perform other related duties.
Requirements
- Take 911 calls
- Dispatch ambulances/Fire Departments
- Post ambulances accordingly
- Update information in CAD
- Take non-emergency transfers
- Notify appropriate supervisors of long distance transfers
- Notify DEM and officers of large events
- Work with surrounding agencies
- Compile training materials for updates and new hires
- Keep track of payroll, checking staff in and out
- Assist Captains with staffing issues
- Keep track of unit locations
- Clean Dispatch daily
- Organize all paperwork for billing
- Assist billing office with phone calls and facilities
