Join CERN's High Power Converters (HPC) section as an Electrical Technician and work with engineers and technicians on upgrade activities for the SPS and PS main power converters. The role is hands-on and site-based, with strong collaboration across technical teams.
Requirements
- Realisation of 3D mechanical drawings of new electro-mechanic parts of the SPS and PS main power converters.
- Realisation of electrical circuit diagrams for the control and protection circuits.
- Realisation of various technical documentation.
- Assembly and installation of new equipment.
- Implementation and test of new control systems for the power converters.
- Testing and commissioning of new components in laboratory and on site.
- Supervision of the work of contractors on the worksite.
