Job Description
The Denver Civil Service Commission, and the City and County of Denver, is now accepting applications for an Entry Level Police Recruit. This job posting is for 2026 Police Academies. The job requires completing an initial application, testing, and hiring information. The responsibilities include suppressing crime, protecting life and property, and enforcing criminal and traffic laws.
Requirements
- Must have a High School Diploma or G.E.D. Certification
- Must have NO Felony Convictions or legal impediments to perform essential job functions.
- Valid Driver's License
- Candidates must have Colorado Residency at time of hire
- Must be eligible for Colorado Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification
- Must be able to legally purchase and possess a firearm.
