Job Description
The Mid-Level Practitioner is responsible for practicing medicine with physician supervision, conducting examinations, writing prescriptions, and providing diagnostic and therapeutic services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Bachelor's degree and successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current CPR or BLS certification
- Must be supervised by a licensed physician
- Must hold and maintain current state licensure as a Physician Assistant or Advance Practice Registered Nurse
- If prescriptive authority for controlled substances is delegated, must have a Texas Department of Public Safety Controlled Substances Permit and a Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) certificate
