Job Description
We are seeking a Steward & Prep Cook to join our team at The Lodge at St. Edward Park. The successful candidate will be responsible for washing china, glass, flatware, pots, pans, and cooking utensils, maintaining the cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, and preparing food according to chef's recipes.
Requirements
- Previous cooking experience preferred
- Must be flexible and able to work under pressure
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Necessary State Food Handler's License(s)
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instruction, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to other employees of the organization
- Must possess knife skills, the ability to adjust preparations for flavor, and accommodate customer's needs in a timely manner
