We're looking for a Facilities Engineering Manager to lead our Engineering team. You will manage a diverse group responsible for facility operations, maintenance, utilities integration, and capital projects that ensure advanced electrolyzer manufacturing and testing.
Requirements
- Lead and mentor the facilities engineering team
- Establish and maintain processes for preventative maintenance, facility upgrades, and capital projects
- Foster a culture of safety, responsiveness, and continuous improvement
- Manage relationships with landlord, fire department, and other authorities with jurisdiction
- Manage on-call rotation for facility emergencies and coordinate response protocols
- Develop preventative maintenance programs for building labs, machine shops, facility equipment, and critical utilities
- Ensure readiness and utility requirements for new equipment installation in collaboration with manufacturing and R&D teams
- Integrate facility utility systems such as: HVAC, electrical distribution, cooling water, compressed air, high and low pressure nitrogen, R&D, and test stand operations
- Collaborate with manufacturing, process, and facilities engineers to define and provide project solutions to support new or modified production lines, equipment placement, and testing operations
- Lead integration of facility systems such as: power, water, HVAC, compressed air with manufacturing equipment and test stands
- Manage facilities equipment moves, installations, and decommissioning
- Oversee documentation of facility layouts, schematics, and utility integration
- Partner with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) to maintain compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
- Ensure facilities meet building codes and industry best practices, promoting sustainability and energy efficiency
- Lead Emergency Response team alongside EHS leadership
- Manage building fire prevention programs, including fire alarm and fire suppression systems
- Be a main contributor to ISO 14001 certification and Environmental Management System compliance
