Record Compliance Analyst 1

The Record Compliance Analyst ensures that documentation of services entered by clinical and support service providers conforms to established medical record checklists and supports internal quality assurance and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Reviewing documentation of services for compliance with internal medical record checklists and overseeing medical records request processing
• Identifying documentation gaps, recommending corrective actions, and assisting with record audits
• Providing feedback to service teams and participating in documentation correction workflows
• Tracking and logging documentation reviews using established QA systems and tools
• Preparing summaries and reports of findings to be incorporated into department-wide audits
• Maintaining knowledge of COMAR, CARF, and other relevant documentation requirements
• Managing and responding to medical records requests from clients, providers, payers, and regulatory bodies
• Ensuring records requests are fulfilled within HIPAA-compliant timelines and standards
• Maintaining secure and confidential records transfer procedures
• Collaborating with QA Manager to ensure records review findings align with audit and licensing standards
• Assisting with training or onboarding of new staff on documentation standards
• Participating in quality improvement projects focused on documentation integrity
• Serving as backup to QA staff during periods of absence or increased workload
