Job Description
Escape Velocity is seeking a UI Engineer to develop, implement, and debug UI features for an unannounced project in a fully remote, fully global role. The role involves collaboration with various teams to create responsive and polished UI experiences, using Blueprints, C++, and MVVM. The ideal candidate will contribute to building scalable UI systems with guidance from engineers and designers.
Requirements
- Professional experience in the game industry, ideally on a shipped or in-production title
- Working knowledge of Unreal Engine 4 or 5, including Blueprint and C++
- Solid proficiency in C++ and UI workflows
- Familiarity with Unreal’s Model-View-View-Model (MVVM) framework
- Interest in UI systems and gameplay, and foundational understanding of 3D math and runtime logic
- Solid communication skills and a collaborative, learning-oriented approach
