Job Description
GHD is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to support the Resident Engineer in the design and construction phases. The role involves reviewing drawings and submittals, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring QA/QC adherence. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of engineering principles and a commitment to providing innovative solutions.
Requirements
- Review drawings, reports, and specifications.
- Review submittals and ensure comments are addressed.
- Respond to RFIs and comment on engineering submittals.
- Attend meetings and coordinate team members.
- Review materials and propose alternatives/recommendations.
- Review variations.
- Apply knowledge of Engineering Principles and design using building materials.
- Report writing and documentation skills.
- Processing construction documentation (RFI responses, etc.).
