Job Description
As a Horse and Barn Staff Member, the Lead Wrangler will oversee horse program implementation, including care, training, and support at a Girl Scouts of Colorado camp. This role involves caring for horses, assisting with daily tasks, and providing exceptional service to campers and staff. The position offers a blend of leadership and hands-on animal care.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED and at least one year of college or equivalent work experience.
- Current or willingness to obtain First Aid/CPR, Child Abuse Mandated Reporter, Universal Standard Precautions, and Medication Administration certifications.
- Proven experience in western riding skills.
- Current OR willingness to obtain a valid instructor certification (HS diploma or GED plus 1 year of college experience).
- Minimum of 2 years in horse care and safe practices.
- Experience working with children preferred.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
