Job Description
This RN position is for Direct Patient Care (DPC) within a fast-paced healthcare environment. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the implementation of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation), providing direct patient care, and working with ancillary personnel to deliver high-quality patient care. The role focuses on adherence to GCMC policies and maintaining patient safety. Current NYS license and BLS/CPR certification are required.
Requirements
- Current NYS license to perform as a registered professional nurse
- Current BLS-CPR certification (or within first 30 days of employment)
- Current SNBR certification
- Specialty Units - At least 1 year of medical-surgical nursing preferred (ICU, Maternity, Psych)
- Current ISS certification within 6 months of employment (e.g. Neonatal Resuscitation, ACLS, etc.)
- Licensure/Certificates/Certification: Current NYS license to perform as a registered professional nurse
- Current BLS-CPR certification
- Current ISS certification
- National Patient Safety Goals adherence
- Knowledge of infection control and emergency preparedness plans
