Cashier/Retail Counter Sales

Hayward Lumber is seeking a Cashier to provide excellent customer service by processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently. The role involves scanning/entering product information, handling cash, and answering customer inquiries. Positive customer relationships, product recommendations, and maintaining store standards are also important responsibilities.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer and math skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide common fractions/decimals)
• Effective time management and prioritization skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Previous experience in a retail setting preferred
• Previous experience in the lumber or building materials preferred
• Must take and pass drug test and consent to a background check
• Previous experience in a team atmosphere
