Cashier/Retail Counter Sales

Hayward Lumber is seeking a Cashier/Retail Counter Sales person to provide excellent customer service, process sales transactions accurately, and maintain a clean store environment. The ideal candidate will build customer relationships and recommend appropriate products. The position involves handling cash, inventory, and assisting customers with product selection.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer and math skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide common fractions/decimals)
• Effective time management and prioritization skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must take and pass drug test and consent to a background check
• Previous experience in a retail setting preferred
• Previous experience in the lumber or building materials preferred
