Anaesthesia Assistant Certified

Anesthesia Assistants provide medical direction under the supervision of the Anesthesiologist in the Operating Room of Pasqua Hospital in Regina, SK, Canada. This is a full-time position with weekly shifts, a shift schedule including 3-week intervals, and potential for a standing shift.

Requirements

• Current registration or eligibility for registration in the province of Saskatchewan as a Respiratory Therapist or Registered Nurse with critical car experience (preferred)
• Anaesthesia diploma (DA)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certificate (PALS)
• Maintains current certifications for endotracheal intubation, peripheral venous cannulation, blood salvaging, arterial cannulation, drug preparation and administration
• Competencies: Communication skills, ability to work independently/in a team, self-motivation, composure in stressful situations
