The role involves performing echocardiographic procedures on adult patients in the cardiology laboratory, using technologies such as M-Mode and transesophageal echocardiography. Requirements
- Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination
- Registration as a RDCS or RCS (within 1 year of hire or if trained on the job)
- BLS required within 3 months of hire
- Knowledge of electrocardiography, arrhythmias, and conduction disturbances
- Knowledge of sterile technique
- Knowledge of algebraic principles
- Ability to work effectively with critically ill/injured patients
- Ability to work with computerized echocardiographic equipment
- Knowledge of procedural and technical aspects of echocardiography
- Ability to correctly operate computerized echocardiographic equipment
- Knowledge of various echocardiogram techniques
- Ability to perform deductive echocardiography and segmental approach
