Job Description
The Medical Laboratory Technician/Medical Lab Technician (MLT/MLS) provides laboratory medicine specialist support, collecting patient specimens, performing tests, and reporting results. This role requires accuracy, empathy, and a commitment to regulatory compliance. MLTs/MLSs work as part of a lab system, assisting with leadership and coordinating laboratory operations. The position requires a commitment to professional concern in all patient interactions.
Requirements
- Associate of Science degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, or other programs that satisfy the certification requirements of the National Accrediting Agency of Clinical Laboratory Science or Department of Health and Human Services certificate
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a clinic or hospital laboratory
- Phlebotomy training and experience drawing patients ranging from infants to geriatric preferred
