Physical Therapist (Part Time) - San Diego County

At Home of Guiding Hands, we know that early movement and mobility support can change the trajectory of a child’s life. As a Physical Therapist, you will make a meaningful impact by completing evaluations and providing individualized weekly therapy for infants and toddlers (ages 0–3) with developmental delays.

Requirements

• Licensure & Education: Current Physical Therapy license issued by the California Physical Therapy Board. Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE). Minimum of one (1) year of Physical Therapy experience required. Minimum of one (1) year of pediatric experience, preferably serving children from birth to five (0–5) years of age.
• Eligibility & Compliance Requirements: Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of hire. Must obtain criminal record clearance from the Department of Justice (DOJ). Valid California Driver’s License with a safe driving record and at least two (2) years of licensed driving experience. Must maintain current and adequate auto insurance. Must obtain CPR and First Aid certification if not currently certified (training provided for new hires).
• Language & Technical Skills: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook for documentation and communication.
• Professional Skills & Competencies: Collaborative, team-oriented professional with strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to build positive, supportive, and professional working relationships with families, colleagues, and interdisciplinary team members. Detail-oriented with the ability to ensure accuracy and completeness of program documentation and paperwork. Strong time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage workload independently. Demonstrates cultural awareness and sensitivity when working with diverse families, values, and lifestyles.
