Job Description
This is a summer co-op opportunity in Akron/Barberton, Ohio, offered by Howmet Aerospace Inc. Co-op participants will work in different engineering areas like Process Innovation, Casthouse Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering (Machining), and Environment, Health & Safety. The role offers cross-functional learning with the company and a chance to potentially complete a degree without switching employers.
Requirements
- Develop an understanding of how to design and deploy new processes and process improvements
- Develop an understanding of thermal processes
- Develop an understanding of combustion control systems and automation
- Design tooling and work holding for machining
- Become familiar with ISO9001 Quality management systems
- Develop CNC programs
