Job Description
Howmet Aerospace, headquartered in Torrance, CA, is seeking a Machine Tech V, Screw Machinist. This position is within Howmet Fastening Systems, a business unit of Howmet Aerospace focused on commercial transportation fasteners. The role involves operating spindle automatic screw machines, setting up machines, performing machining operations, and maintaining equipment.
Requirements
- Independently sets up and operates multiple spindle automatic screw machines.
- Selects, mounts, and adjusts cutting tools.
- Performs turning, drilling, reaming, facing, tapping, threading, forming, and other operations.
- Reads and follows screw machine layouts.
- Keeps work area clean and orderly.
- Performs other tasks as assigned.
