Job Description
Howmet Aerospace is seeking a Machine Technician II, EDM to join their Torrance, CA location. The role involves performing precision EDM (Electrical Discharge Machine) work on steel and carbide to exacting tolerances, studying part prints, and preparing the machine for precise operations. The technician will be a critical part of the high-tech fastening systems division, contributing to aircraft and aerospace engine components, fasteners, and other industrial applications.
Requirements
- Certified in Lock Out/Tag Out
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Good communication skills
- Basic shop math skills
- Ability to lift/move up to 30 lbs.
- Knowledge of micrometers, calipers, comparators, thread gauges, depth micrometers and dial indicators.
