Remote Inpatient Facility Medical Coder

IKS Health is seeking an experienced Inpatient Facility Medical Coder to provide coding and abstracting services for clients' inpatient charts. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of related IP coding experience, CCS or CIC credential, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Requirements

• Reviews medical records to identify pertinent diagnoses and procedures relative to the patient's health care encounter.
• Assigns diagnostic and procedural codes after a thorough review of the medical record to obtain the appropriate DRG.
• Consistently meets productivity and quality performance requirements.
• Utilizes Aquity applications to enter charts coded in real-time throughout the scheduled shift.
• Solicits clarification from the physician regarding ambiguous or conflicting documentation in the medical record.
• Participates in team meetings and all training required by Aquity staff or client.
