Job Description
Lifelong Access is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide support and services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in their homes and community. DSPs assist individuals with daily living activities, provide emotional support, and facilitate their participation in meaningful supports. This role emphasizes independence and improving the lives of individuals supported by the organization.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Desire to make a difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities
- CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain them
- Valid Illinois driver’s license with safe driving record
- Current proof of automobile insurance
- Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, lift, and bend (50 lbs)
- Commitment to integrity and compassion in providing support
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
