Data Science & Analytics Lead

Maxus Capital is a rapidly growing private equity firm seeking a Data Science & Analytics Lead to build its data infrastructure and transform how it extracts insights from the investment portfolio. This role involves designing data architectures, creating analytical workflows, and leveraging data and AI to improve decision-making and portfolio management. The position offers a unique opportunity to shape the data strategy of a fast-growing platform in a hybrid environment.

Requirements

• 4-8 years of experience in roles spanning data science, data analytics, data engineering or a related role
• Strong Proficiency in SQL/NoSQL database design & optimization (e.g. PostgreSQL)
• Strong Proficiency in Python for data processing, analysis and application development
• Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, Looker …)
• Understanding of data warehousing and data pipeline development
• Familiarity with API development and integration
• Familiar working with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Strong quantitative background with experience in financial data analysis
• Experience with private equity, investing, or finance-adjacent environments is an added-value
• Resourcefulness, hands-on approach, and solutions-oriented mindset
• Passion for data, tooling, automation, and data science algorithms
• Fluent in English
