Freelance AI Red Team Engineer

Mindrift is seeking an AI Red Team Engineer for a part-time, remote position. The role involves evaluating and red-teaming AI models, creating test cases, developing automation scripts, and providing security advice. The position focuses on improving the safety and capabilities of AI models, focusing on specialized questions and complex reasoning. Candidates must be currently residing in the specified country.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics or related field.
• Advanced English proficiency (C1+)
• Proficient in Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Experience with containerization and CI/CD security tools, especially Docker.
• Hands-on experience with penetration testing across web, API, network, and infrastructure environments.
• Knowledge of AI model vulnerabilities, especially prompt injections.
• Experience with AI red-teaming frameworks (garaka or PyRIT).
• Knowledge of network security concepts (Linux privilege escalation, Windows internals).
