Motional is a driverless technology company transforming how autonomous vehicles discover crucial intelligence. They are building their next-generation multimodal data mining framework, OmniTag, and are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to contribute to the scaling and evolution of its core systems. The role involves architecting production pipelines, managing data ingestion, and ensuring the robustness of data processing pipelines.
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science or related field
- 6+ years of designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems
- Deep expertise in Ray or Spark
- Expert-level Python proficiency with strong software engineering fundamentals
- Strong SQL and data manipulation skills
- Proven experience optimizing and scaling production data pipelines
- Demonstrated track record of shipping robust, well-tested systems
