Principal Member of Technical Staff

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking a Principal Member of Technical Staff to join the Security Products Group, focused on building secure and resilient cloud environments. The role involves designing and developing software for major components of OCI, including complex data distribution, high-availability services, and cybersecurity solutions. The team aims to integrate system security into the core OCI experience through investment in vulnerability detection and response.

Requirements

• 6+ years distributed service engineering experience in a software development environment
• Experience driving feature design reviews, documentation, UX reviews, and collaborating with Product Managers
• Strong development experience in Java, C++, C#, or similar OO languages
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals
• Working familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP)
• Good understanding of databases, NoSQL systems, storage and distributed persistence technologies
