Job Description
The Design Manager will manage all aspects of the companys design requirements utilizing in-house team and outsourcing to an established engineering firm. The design team produces proposals and manufacturing drawings for light gauge steel frames, wall panels, floor cassettes, structural and non structural, managing a professional and creative team within a solution-based environment. They will be responsible for creating designs that meet commercial requirements and ensuring compliance with building regulations.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of building regulations and certification
- Vertex, CAD & BIM experience
- Understanding of the Building Regulations & BCAR Process
- Detailing knowledge
- Site experience an advantage
- Leading the design team
- Preparation of tendering proposals
- Creating drawings
- Decision making on specification
- Ensuring compliance with certification and building regulations
