Job Description
Taylor’s Construction, Inc. is seeking skilled Fiber Splicers to perform splicing, testing, and troubleshooting of fiber optic cables for telecommunications construction projects. The role requires precision, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety and quality. They are looking for professionals with 2+ years of experience and knowledge of OTDRs, fuse splicers, etc. They also require an ability to work outdoors and understand the importance of a thorough job reporting process.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in fiber optic splicing or telecommunications construction
- Knowledge of OTDRs, fusion splicers, cleavers, and related tools
- Ability to read and interpret splicing diagrams, route maps, and engineering prints
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
- Experience with single-mode and multi-mode fiber, preferred
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and travel to multiple job sites
- Bachelor's degree
