Local Italy Program Leader (Summer 2026)

Rustic Pathways is seeking a Local Italy Program Leader to join their team in Italy during the Summer 2026 season. This role involves the care and well-being of students while they travel, with a focus on creating a safe and successful program experience. The leader will be responsible for student safety, program execution, and communication with stakeholders and partners. This position is seasonal and requires a passion for experiential education and a commitment to responsible travel.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in service-learning, tourism, outdoor leadership, youth mentorship, customer service, or experiential education.
• At least 2 years of experience working with young adults and/or adolescents.
• At least 6 months of experience living and/or working in an international, multicultural, or cross-cultural environment.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university OR equivalent work experience
• Must be 22 years of age or older before your start date
• Demonstrated maturity and leadership skills
• Fluency in English and Italian
• Basic CPR and First Aid certification
• Ability to work in Italy for at least 1-8 consecutive weeks
