Licensed Practical Nurse

Samaritan Daytop Village is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse-LPN to provide direct patient care within their programs. The role involves assisting with vital signs, providing treatment, documenting patient information, and maintaining accurate medical records. The agency serves over 33,000 New Yorkers annually, with a focus on comprehensive health and human services.

Requirements

• NYS LPN licensure.
• BLS certification.
• High School or GED.
• Graduate of a formal Technical or Vocational LPN Program.
• At least One (1) year experience as an LPN working with clients with Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and/or Serious Mental Illness (SMI).
• Computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHR.
• Ability to put patients at ease and explain physician’s instructions.
• Ability to multi-task with excellent organization skills.
• Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
