Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Samaritan Daytop Village is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)-Nurse-LPN to provide comprehensive care to clients in residential treatment setting. The role involves assisting providers with patient care, administering injections and tests, and maintaining patient records. The agency offers a nationally recognized comprehensive program with over 60 programs across New York City.

Requirements

• NYS LPN licensure.
• BLS certification.
• High School or GED.
• Graduate of a formal Technical or Vocational LPN Program.
• At least One (1) year experience as an LPN working with clients with Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and/or Serious Mental Illness (SMI).
• Computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHR.
• Ability to put patients at ease and explain physician’s instructions.
• Ability to multi-task with excellent organization skills.
• Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
