Quality Assurance Testing Specialist

The Quality Assurance Testing Specialist will work closely with the product owner and business analysts to understand the business functions and requirements. The applicant should have excellent problem-solving skills and ability to review the requirements or stories and define and develop test strategy, test plan, test cases, defect management and maximizing automation (API/UI) in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

Requirements

• University or College Degree or equivalent experience in IT
• 5+ years of QA lead experience
• 4+ years of automation skills in VB script, Java (Selenium)
• 3+ years of API automation
• 6 years of testing experience within the capacity of Software Quality Assurance
• Working knowledge with Java, JavaScript, and Python and other scripting languages
• Knowledge of testing background in the Canadian financial services industry
• Transfers knowledge and provide guidance to support business objectives
• Contributes to an environment of continuous learning, including the sharing of experience and learning across team members, peers, Scotia partners, and management as appropriate
• Participate in identifying personal development needs and pursue development/career opportunities
• Adhere to established guidelines of conduct
