Planner II

The Planner II in Design Build will be responsible for Assembly Planning on new construction projects at Vancouver Shipyards. This role involves supporting the Production Planning/Production Engineering team through production plan development, installation sequences, and assisting with ship construction plans. The position requires working on-site at 50 Pemberton Avenue in North Vancouver.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma or Technical certification in Trades (Steel) or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in planning, ship design, shipbuilding or related trade experience in steel.
• Understanding of shipbuilding operations with detailed understanding of procurement, design, production & testing.
• Knowledge of Material Requirements Planning principles.
• Technical skills with ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Knowledge of document control systems and databases.
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office.
• Working knowledge of CAD software suite (Cadmatic and AutoCAD preferred).
