Director of Nursing (DON) - Skilled Nursing Facility

Sunnyside Nursing and Post Acute Care is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead a skilled nursing facility and contribute to its mission of providing compassionate care and improving the lives of residents. This role involves daily operational management, ensuring high standards of care, and fostering a positive team environment. The director will be a driving force in resident care and employee development.

Requirements

• Have The Credentials - You have a nursing degree from an accredited college or university and you are a licensed Registered Nurse in the State of California.
• Are Experienced - You have a minimum of 7 years of experience as a Director of Nursing (DON) in either a large hospital or a skilled nursing care facility.
• Communicate Effectively - You’re able to speak to people in a professional manner, regardless of the situation.
• Are A Leader - You don’t lead with an iron fist. You understand that mistakes are opportunities for future learning.
• Can Handle Autonomy - You’ll have an understanding of your role on your first day. You’ll implement your own processes to ensure success within the role, with great autonomy.
• Understand Stressful Situations - You’re prepared to work within those situations and thrive.
• Love People - You love working with people. Mentoring and developing team members and healing and comforting residents.
