Job Description
This Peer Specialist position supports individuals and families residing in Harlem and surrounding communities, providing engagement, combating overdose, and building relationships to facilitate access to S:US services. The role involves outreach, advocacy, team collaboration, and promotion of a supportive team culture. This position requires a commitment to recovery and a focus on creating positive environments for growth.
Requirements
- Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (or Provisional)
- Understanding of community resources
- Positive and productive progress toward own recovery
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- Two years of participation in substance use/mental health self-help activities
- Ability to disclose recovery story
