Job Description
This is a full-time Peer Specialist position within S:US, a program focused on serving individuals and families in Harlem and surrounding communities. The role involves outreach, combating overdose, building relationships, and advocating for participants. It also includes collaboration within the S:US team and a commitment to a positive and supportive team culture.
Requirements
- Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (or Provisional)
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Understanding of the community and available resources
- Positive and productive progress toward own recovery
- Good judgment and boundary-setting abilities
- Adherence to on-call system
