Underwriting Associate (12 months Contract)

We are looking for an Underwriting Associate to support the underwriting team in Kuala Lumpur. The role involves setting up and finalizing policies, handling closings and contract changes, and collaborating with outsourced providers. The ideal candidate has previous insurance experience, strong customer focus, and excellent computer skills.

Requirements

• Previous insurance experience (minimum 3-5 years)
• Full proficiency in English
• Strong customer focus and service orientation
• Excellent computer skills – Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook
• Ability to work in a globally located team situation with sensitivity to cultural differences
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with internal and external people
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify, evaluate, report and work on complex problems
• Proactive and solutions-oriented individual with ability to work independently with moderate oversight from managers
