The SRS Research Administrative Specialist II provides assistance to post-award administration, data entry, financial review, and documentation and reporting. Interprets award documents, sponsor regulations, and federal laws/regulations to assist the Research Administrator with functional duties.
Requirements
- Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Two years' experience in a specialized financial field such as accounts payable, payroll, student accounts
- Critical thinking and analytical capabilities with attention to detail and accuracy
- Verbal and written communication, organizational, interpersonal, proofreading and time management skills
- Ability to apply problem-solving skills to problems, prioritize and manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software
- Preferred qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field, experience in sponsored research projects management and/or accounting, experience within the A&M System or other university setting
