Job Description
This Registered Nurse (TFT 1.0 FTE) position provides nursing care in a correctional mental health facility, focused on supporting patients with mental illness in conflict with the law. The role involves developing treatment plans, leading staff, managing crises, and ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment. Compliance with regulations and the Anti-Racism, Discrimination and Harassment Free policy is essential.
Requirements
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse in the Province of Ontario
- Eligible for Canada Student Loan Forgiveness Program
- Valid driver’s license
- Criminal Reference Check – vulnerable sector
- Meet Standards of nursing practice of the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
