Oncology Director of Advanced Practice Providers

Join a world-class academic healthcare system, UChicago Medicine, in a newly created role as the Oncology Director of Advanced Practice Providers. Provide system-wide leadership of all oncology APPs and be a core member of the service line and section leadership team.

Requirements

• Graduate of a formal advanced practice nurse, physician assistant, clinical nurse specialist, first assist or certified nurse anesthetist program
• Minimum of 10 years of oncology experience as an advanced practice provider
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a clinical leader
• Licensed Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant in the state of Illinois
• Licensed advanced practice nurse practitioners (NP), physician assistants (PA), or Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNS) in the state of Illinois
• Advanced Practice Nurse or PA controlled substance license in the state of Illinois
• Specialty board certification as a nurse practitioner with a major focus on adult care
• Completion of AHA Basic Life Support
• Completion of AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Course
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Prior experience managing large projects and working effectively in multidisciplinary groups
• Proven ability to lead change, organize teams and delegate effectively
