Job Description
Thorlabs is seeking a CNC Machinist to set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines in a fast-paced environment. The role involves precision machining, ensuring compliance with specifications, and maintaining a clean workspace. Responsibilities include setting up equipment, programming, and troubleshooting dimensional issues, as well as performing routine and priority tasks.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar position preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent or equivalent work experience
- CNC certification or CNC Trade School, a major plus
- Strong sense of ownership and work ethic
- Proficiency in Haas and Fanuc controls
- Understanding of Virtual Gibbs and manual programming
- Familiarity with DNC systems
- Experience with setup time reduction (a plus)
