Job Description
Thorlabs is seeking a CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC machines in Newton, New Jersey, as a 2nd shift position. The role involves precision cutting, fitting, and maintaining machine operation and materials according to drawings. The position requires adherence to safety regulations and commitment to high quality work.
Requirements
- Experience: 3-5 years in a similar position preferred
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent or equivalent work experience
- CNC certification or Trade School a major plus
- Experience with Haas and Fanuc controls
- Understanding of Virtual Gibbs and manual programming (G codes/M codes)
- Familiarity with DNC systems
- Strong sense of ownership and work ethic
