The role involves sourcing green coffee from global producers and managing spot inventories, building strong relationships with export partners, and developing new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the coffee industry and a keen understanding of market trends.
Requirements
- Source and purchase coffee from global producers and exporters.
- Manage p&l of trading book.
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with green beans roasters and customers.
- Understand customer needs and liaise effectively with quality assurance and origin teams.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, terms, and quality specifications.
- Manage trading positions, price exposure, and hedging strategies.
- Monitor global coffee market trends.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and buyers.
- Oversee logistics and quality control.
- Stay updated on industry developments.
- Engage with stakeholders.
- Fluency in English and German.
