Job Description

The Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) Cardiology Coder is responsible for accurately coding outpatient cardiology and cardiovascular procedures, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting the revenue cycle. Requirements
- Assign appropriate CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS codes.
- Validate code selection against operative reports, procedure notes, diagnostic results, and physician documentation.
- Ensure coding practices align with CMS guidelines, NCCI edits, payer-specific policies, and ASC billing rules.
- Collaborate with physicians and administrative staff.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail with high accuracy rates.
- Proficient in CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Strong communication skills.
