Director, Member Engagement & Communications

Western Growers Health is seeking a Director, Member Engagement & Communications to lead strategic efforts in educating and engaging members about their health benefits. The role involves increasing awareness, accessibility, and utilization of benefits, particularly for underserved populations. This position will focus on developing and implementing multi-channel engagement strategies, ensuring culturally relevant messaging, and managing a Communications Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) business, marketing or communications and six (6) to eight (8) years of work experience in healthcare, insurance or employee benefits, preferred.
• Strong proficiency in English communication is essential.
• Demonstrated experience developing targeted engagement strategies for targeted populations.
• Deep understanding of healthcare literacy challenges, particularly among Medicaid and employer-sponsored insurance populations.
• Strong background in developing marketing and communications materials.
• Experience leveraging digital and traditional communication channels.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Experience developing and executing culturally relevant outreach campaigns, preferred.
